Headed out Sunday with my father-in-law. Haven't been fishing for whites/hybrids in a while, and this will be my first time taking the father in law fishing, so I want to put him on some fish. Question is, Twok, Hubb, or Lew?

From what i've been reading:

Twok - everyone's bytching about the influx of fishing pressure from the Texoma guides, but there are still some fish to catch!

Hubb - slow right now?

lew - Starting to heat up and people are catching hybrids and sandies?

I've never taken my boat on Ray-Hubb or Lewisville, so i'm leaning towards Twok. Windy points (cloud point), Pump station, holiday humps, all still producing? I hear that some people are catching some fish with live shad in the timber, is this true? I will probably try to net some shad near the state park, is that ramp still open? What else is working, sassy shad? Top Waters? Rattletraps, slabbing?

Thanks for the help, it's been awhile and i'm seriously excited about getting some serious lake time this summer...

I was there last Friday. Sassy shad were working for us!

There are no fish in Lewisville. Any pictures of me holding fish at Lewisville are merely the byproducts of a fevered imagination.

Might try Hubbard. SW of Robertson producing good sandies this morning. Unfortunately I left light tackle at house. People sacking them up on small baits. Sea Pro Todd was there. Maybe he will give you a tip on baits.

Did alright..... WAY too windy this AM for my little flat bottom skiff, so after bailing on the launch from state park, trailer over to Sky point and fished the protected area of Cloud Point. It was us and maybe 3 other boats. 2 bass boats, 1 center console and and center console Ranger. All but 1 were trolling. Got a late start after backing out of the state park launch, on the water by 9, unable to catch any shad. fishing by 9:45... Bite was slow but ended up with 3 or 4 magnum sandies on hell-pets, and 1 really nice 4 lb Hybrid. That Hybrid was short and fat and stripping all kinds of drag. Great way to end our 2 hours of fishing and 2 hours of driving day....

All in all, boat ran good, nothing broke, beautiful day, father-in-law had a blast, & caught a few fish.... I can't complain

Bro I have passed that orange spaceship looking thing going out 276 a hundred times. What is that suppose to be? Glad you got in and out safely today on the water and caught some fish.

Back many many years ago that was at the St Fair labeled as a house of the future, I went in it when it was there and new, then disappeared for years showing up on McCree Road at Garland Road next to the old Safeway warehouse where it sat for years to be relocated to Blackland on 276. It was even featured in several articles in the Dallas papers.
