Just be glad there was a fish on the other end. . .

I snagged a dixie cup fulla rocks once buy the brim of the mouth, opening facing me, on a deep diving crank. I fought it all the way back to the boat, I was sure it was a 10lber. It was heavy and would shake its head, so it felt like. . .lol. Imagine my confusion when I pulled that damn thing out of the water. I still think a bass just had that cup in his mouth and spit it out at the boat. . .

Same thing with a big buzz bait. Lol. I caught a yellow cat that was all of 15 lbs on a buzz bait and, once again, was convinced it was finally that 10lber. . .lol. Nope. . .

I know what you mean we were fishing Ttz on Travis in June and caught two yellow cats. They were shallow spawning, I set the hook on a 25 inch one and thought we had our kicker.

My buddy caught this guy on light tackle while fishing for white bass on the Sabine River several years ago. Just shy of 50lbs. Yeah, we released her.
