I did not put the low speed jet bearing in I couldn't get the jet to screw in with it in there. Is this gonna cause problems ?

that part goes in the hole where number 31 goes , also the packing around the main jet is VERY important, if you dont have it air will leak in.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I couldn't get the jet started with that in the hole. I pushed it as far down as I could and still wouldn't start. So I took it out and jet went right in.

my question would be do you have the adjustable needle or the plug for the fixed low end jet, the needle must use the packing or it will leak air, the fixed jet does not, it has the o ring for the plug, so if you have the fixed jet (no needle) it shouldn't need the packing used for needle, seems 83-84 was the change over from needle to fixed on the idle jet, yes the needle and seat at the float uses a gasket
