Did anyone hear about this? I was loading up my boat Saturday around noon and they had the far left closed and guy was putting on his scuba gear. Looked like some high school kids sunk their truck. I always wonder how that happens?

I second that Streetwalker and probably forgot to set their parking brake too.

I bet a guy would be surprised at the number of vehicles that are submerged in various waterways around the country. Some still have drivers behind the wheel.

yup, not setting parking brake and no not getting auto all the way into park are 2 easy ways, don't ask how I know!(years ago) bang

Luckily I was able to jump in mine and hit the brakes, especially since it was Dad's truck!

Years ago there was a Pontiac Tempest in Grapevine off of Rockledge Point. There was a big catfish living in it. Being a noodler I decided to go get him. Worked on him for hours and never got him out. He wasn't all that big but he was smart. Every time I reached in to get him, he rolled the window up.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I watched a truck go out of sight with a driver still inside. He did manage to get out, popped to the surface, and swam to the dock where people helped him out of the water.

I saw this happen once. A guy was trying to pull a huge ski boat out of the water using a ford ranger. The lake was low, and he was 3rd or 4th in line so the algae on the ramp was quite slick. Instead of holding the brake and waiting for help he chose to spin his tires, which let him slide back.... and back... and back...

Yup. They found a couple of them in Foss Lake Oklahoma recently.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

We pulled up in the boat about 11am, my buddy forgot his lunch. the two wrecker fellows were there pulled on the far left ramp (looking from the lake) and the two park police guys in their cars on the opposite side parked. We never saw the truck and found out what was up only after we asked, hate being nosy but curiosity..... We did not feel like waiting around to see em pull it up.

They pulled one from Buck Creek not that long ago, seems like only a year or so ago.
