Where is he? I thought I remember reading an article before this Elite season saying he would fish this year and then retire. He fished the first event and hasn't fished since. Anyone know what happened?

I think his stint on "The Bachelor"wore him out..........LOL!!

I read in Bassmaster that he's retiring to be able to spend time with his family. It's hard at that top level to stay consistent, make cuts, and cash checks.

Yeah, wasn't it him a few years ago where he was running and a rogue wave from a bigger boat launched him and his marshall like 8 or 10 feet up above his boat but they both landed back in the boat when they came down but I believe he definitely was injured from that. He seems like a great guy......sad for his career, but good for him and his family that he can devote himself to that.

There was a thread on another forum that said he was retiring to be a stay at home dad. Apparently his wife makes chingos of money and he doesn't have to fish. Of course I think we all know he was never hurting for money anyways.

I almost bought one of his boats, he was going to let me pick the colors , anyway that deal fell through, he seems like a really nice man, good luck to him.

I've not heard or read any official announcement, but he is definitely not fishing the Elites right now. Don't know if he hurt himself again or if that little four year old daughter made him go ahead and retire to stay-at-home Dad status, early. His wife has a health care and hospice business and does quite well.
