Going camping with the family this weekend. The RV park we are going to doesn't have good access to fishable water. It's way too shallow.

Does anyone know of decent access in the Kerrville area that I could drive up to and wade in?

Thanks,
Randy

I haven't been up that way in awhile. I know there's access at the kerrville-schreiner park. Hope this helps

Guadalupe state park is relatively close and should be wadeable...

If you have access to a kayak, There is a park on the east side of town that has deeper and fishy water. Probably to deep to wade though...

Google maps "Arcadia loop" go west-upstream and work the north bank. Caught a 4# LMB on a closer once there.

There are a couple of nice city parks in the City of Kerrville with good bank spaces. The Guadalupe River runs through the back side of the City. Also just right up the road is Fredricksburgh. Lady Bird Park is there. The Live Oak Creek runs through the whole park. Fished there several times and did well. Bass,Catfish,Carp, and Sunfish. thumb

Awesome, thank you. Heading out today for a weekend of camping, fishing, campfiring, and scotch drinking.

Go up to Hunt and fish any good looking crossing off of either the north or south fork.

Perfect evening on the Guadalupe. Lots of fish but all were very little. Still a lot of fun.
