I'm looking to fish for flatheads north or south of Lake Granbury. Any pointers on where and how I should approach this?

certain times they are pretty thick below the dam, but I haven't fished there in years, so I cant honestly say what that time is.

May have to go down there with my kayak and run some lines. Can't get close after 9-11. Ready to try it though.

I haven't been able to get down below the dam. Far as I can tell you have to live in Pecan Plantation to have decent access.

You can still park by the dam and walk down there, just a pretty good hike.

Can you? It's all fenced off, I assumed they didn't want people back there.

You just can't drive but you can walk, saw a bunch of cars there a couple weeks ago.

Went down last weekend but there was just nothing down there. Couple of shallow holes. Maybe further down there are better holes. Not worth the walk and definately not a possibility for my kayak unless I hit up my buddies at Pecan. Need some holes to fish and prolly need to work more around further south.
