I'm having an issue with the button on my foot control sticking, anyone else had this before and could you fix it yourself or is it a take it to the shop kind of issue?

Fix it yourself. You can adjust it from the bottom.

This is a reed switch that is out of adjustment. Under the button, you will see a reed in a plastic holder. There is two small wires that come from the bottom. If it does not shut off, the reed needs to be pushed down in the holder. a pencil eraser pressed on the reed from above will set the reed deeper in the holder. If the motor will not come on, the reed is too deep in the holder and a small flat screwdriver in the slot of the holder from the bottom will allow you to raise the reed into position

It's enclosed if I remember correctly from looking at it on the bottom. I turned it over and looked to see if there was a simple way to get in there and don't recall seeing one that stood out.

Doesn't do it all the time just every so often to irritate you. If I punch the button real hard with my foot it will shut off.

Just take the button cover off and like he said take a pen or nail and slightly push it down maybe a 16th of an inch and that should fix your problem. I just had to do that to mine new one....must be a factory problem.
