Throw them all the time; so many different ways to fish them--watch flukemaster's videos on youtube. He must have ten or so videos on different ways to fish the fluke.

I fish these alot and what I found works best (for me anyways) Is a 7' medium action action bait casting rod and then reel of your choice. You will want a reel with a 7.1 or higher ratio because you will find that the bass like to grab it and run with it alot and you need the faster to reel to catch up and get a good hookset. Ive been hammering the bass at the little pond by my house on a fluke right now. It has caught alot of fish for me and alot of big fish. Its a confidence go to bait.

Oh I forgot to add I use either 10lb or 12lb fluoro on the line. You need the extra sensitivity to feel the bite. Hope this helps.
