Taking a trip to Tawakoni on Thursday with the old man for his 60th.

Was going to fish for crappie or hybrids/stripers/white. Any recent reports besides following the birds near the dam? Will this rain force alot up into the creeks?

Don't bet on the fish being close to the dam. Check the shallower wind swept points.

If you aren't finding fish keep moving to you do.

As always watch for bird activity and/or schooling fish.

I'll be on the water Thursday.

I'm planning to be out there Thursday as well. Yellow/white skeeter. This is my first trip out this year so I'm not good for any advice just yet but if you see me catching fish pull on up (slowly).

They are shallow and spawning^

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I made a quick trip last night after work but before the storms. Birds were working the humps on the north end of the dam, caught 1 white and 1 hybrid before I lost power to my trolling motor and front graph and calling it quits

Rather than be a sorry, no good, low brow, lazy, pot licking annoyance to any working men or women guides out there- why not do yourself a favor and learn to actually find fish? You can do that by hiring these guides you chase around. I've done that many times and I'm no expert but I have gotten ALOT better at finding my own fish. And then you get to enjoy fishing away from the boat shows, and ridiculous crowding you see people do to guides. Then there is the point of view of the angler's who have paid hard earned money to learn more about our sport and their experience is negatively effected by some cheap jack wad who thinks he's getting away with something. Everyone knows what you are doing - its poor behavior plane and simple. No one owns the lake but perhaps consider not being rude and quit hounding people.

Many times I've seen the guides call folks over and offer help (for free!). And because of that, if I'm catching and see a guy struggling I do that. But who wants to help a low brow fool who's pot licking/chasing you around the lake?
