Thinking about trying Lake Hubbard, since it's close to the house. Not a big crappie fisherman but thought about trying to get the wife on some. Any tips or suggestions, places to go?

Shallow clay bottoms 2 to 3 feet. Keep working jigs until you get that thump!!

Epic I live in seagoville as well. Cedar creek and hubbard has been tough for crappie unless your wading then you can get a limit. Many places to bank fish and tey your luck. 66 levy by kyoto steakhouse. The docks off by chaha boatramp, little cut by the marina by bass pro. Bay view marina off the rocks. A lot of places but hard this year have found more by wading then fishing the.rocks like in the past. I think with all the water they spread out more this year in the coves and not relating to the rocks as much as in years past

Try the old Marina Del Ray area. Can be very good.

I always liked the mouth of the creek that comes from lavon. All the trees around there held real good crappie.

I fished Ray Hubbard earlier today and found a few on bridges from 4-10ft deep. There weren't a lot of fish but there were enough to feel the thump.

Here is a short video of some of the fish.
