Fayette is closed due to high water level. LCRA has stopped them from draining the lake due to the Colorado River being flooded. So it could be weeks before they open this lake back up. Depends on the amount of rain we receive during this next round of showers coming our way. But last I had heard the water level was six inches or better over the top of the courtesy docks.
Maybe this post will help a few people save some time and money from making a trip there only to find out that it’s closed.

I didn't even know that was possible, I thought it drained automatically once it got over the top of the mid-lake drain. Apparently they must be able to actuate it somehow to close it. Anyway, I'm sure it'll be good for the lake. It's been getting pounded.

There are several weather systems that will be moving in this week and next! eeks I picked up almost an inch of rain last night. The Guadalupe River is also handling a lot of water. Canyon Lake is letting out water! hmmm
