I run this why well the inside of my prop is a grey color not the black oily residue found in props with regular oil. My XR6 150 is of 1997 vintage still runnin strong nothing but normal maint.

I want to try it in my oxx66 225 Yamaha but don't want to stray from quicksilver which he used

I run it in my 1991 Mariner 150. I mix it since my engine does not have oil injection. I have a buddy that runs it in his 1998 200 Hammer that is oil injected. No issues from either engine. BASSHAWK

If you have Optimax follow manufacturers recommendation.

A little off topic but. Back in the day a friend raced on road motorcycles. I noticed all racers on the circuit ran Castrol in there bikes. Then Caastrol sued Pennzoil for there adds stating (the best oil against breakdown) and Pennzoil had to change there adds. I run Castrol anytime I can. Cars, Trucks, Bikes etc.

If I had a Wal Mart motor then I would use that stuff, but since I have a Mercury I will use Mercury products.

they say "oil is oil" but I only use Quicksilver Premium Plus

I run Quicksilver Premium Plus in my Yamaha.

I don't run it, but a lot of it gets sold and I don't see people posting don't buy this my motor blew up.

Same for the Citgo oil. Citgo 2 cycle has prolly been branded with more different names than carters got liver pills. Citgo and Yamaha Lube are more than likely the same oil.

TCW3 is the spec that's the bottom line
