My current frog rod is too heavy (in weight)--aggravating some carpal tunnel issues. I'll be looking at something just under 7ft and lighter in weight.

I like the $100 price point and am looking at the following

Falcon Jason Christie JCC-611H pitch and skip
Falcon Bucoo BCC-7-1610 Heavy Cajun Baby

Both of the above are heavy action/fast flex. The Cajun Baby is an inch shorter at 6'10"

Any feedback or other recommendations appreciated.

Just that depending on how you fish with your frog rod, that "shorter is better" as the additional leverage will decrease the force on your injury. That, and that a slightly softer rod with a parabolic bend will also shorten the lifting point of the rod, again improving leverage.

Those are some nice rods you have mentioned. If something were available in a 6'6", I'd consider that, too.

Thank you, I'm leaning strongly toward the Bucoo Heavy Cajun Baby for the reasons you mentioned--less stress on the wrist.

Tackle Warehouse has just about every other Falcon rod in stock, but not this one.

I threw a frog this weekend on a Falcon Bucoo Micro 7' MH.
Worked fine.

Very happy. I ordered the rod Monday morning from Fishing Tackle Online/outdoorproshop.com and received it yesterday (Tuesday) just after lunch (this was with just standard shipping/their default is FedEx ground). I see that the rod originated from Oklahoma, so they must have a warehouse there.

I've never received an online order so quickly (24H from time of order) with such robust packaging. They shipped the rod inside the standard plastic wrap, then double wrapped all the guides, the tip and the handle with rolls of newspaper. The shipping container was sealed with industrial staples fortifying the end caps. Extremely impressed (see pics below)

Don't know if I can go fishing this weekend, but really looking forward to using this rod (review pending)

My priority was a light rod--definitely light
I can fish for hours with a frog and not get a carpal tunnel flare up

The rod is extremely well built.
I had a frog deep hooked into the gullet of a big bass and put her the water to recover while I tried to find my pliers. Unknown to me, the braid was wrapped around the 3rd guide and the big bass surged to make a run.
The guide bent a little (I bent it back)--a lesser rod and the guide would have snapped off.
I've also fallen into the water with the rod wading in 3 feet of water, and took a step into 9 fow. No problems.

The rod is not as stiff as other heavy rated rods, and if I were frogging in extremely thick vegetation like on Okeechobee, I'd get a Falcon in extra heavy

I have the same prob a wrist brace also helps , kinda a pain but worth it at the end of the day!
