Behind the dam would be Texoma. Below the dam is the river.

Behind the dam would be Texoma. Below the dam is the river. Your wrong. If you are standing on the shore of the lake side of the dam the river is behind the dam.

I spent the weekend at Texoma. I was staying at Cedar Mills. The water was completely red. I would say not even 2 inch visibility. Needless to say, fishing was terrible. I went hoping for some crappie. Didn't happen. I knew the lake was tough but, I didn't expect the water to be like that.
Managed to catch a few small striper and whites in the back of a creek. All throw backs. I hope the best for the folks up there. It will take some time. to recover.

If you can't get that right how are we supposed to take anything you say seriously. Sorry Red, I received my education in a state other than Texas. Coming from a place where there's lots of dams the normal terminology is above the damn and below the dam. Makes sense since the water levels are different. Behind a dam is the lake. A dam holds back water.
