Major League Fishing has to be my favorite but I like Zona as well...just wish he'd fish less northern waters for smallies and more southern for largemouth.

Zona doesn't know when to shut up and let his guest speak. He likes to hear his own voice.
MLF is still good, some of the lakes they fish are very predictable on size of fish. They ought to come back down here or Florida where a big 10lb can change the leaderboard real quick

Zona is the Biggest Drama Queen ever. You don't ever see Wilcox do that [censored]! I mean the guy sometimes acts like he's fixin to cry sometimes, just because he's gonna go fishing with his Bud! Really? I'd knock his [censored] out of the boat. Him and Mike Iconilli.

Zona's show isn't even a fishing show, it shows him talking about 40 times per show while there is about five minutes of fishing. Worst show ever, he loves the camera on him.

I like Zona, he is not for everyone, but he keeps it entertaining. Honey Hole is my favorite show by a mile.

Zona's show does not appeal to me, but I can see why some folks would like it. MLF is still my favorite, but if they keep going to lakes where 30 fish weighing 40 pounds wins, they will lose me for next year. I see enough 15 ouncers in my boat. Put them on a lake where a "giant" is really a giant.

I like his show. Then again I don't take fishing as serious as some do. I am there to have a good time.

I laugh at these posts. Those of you who LOVE Honey Hole are local. Most people outside of the metromess or tournament fishing have no idea who Bill is. But I like his format, too.
Do you think maybe Zona's network wants his show done the way it is? He's a kook and that entertains tons of folks, especially the younger guys.
When the Elite Series had spawning fests every tournament, people complained. Folks quickly tired of the smash-fest sight fishing derbies where 20 lbs wasn't even middle of the pack. They wanted to see more "realistic" events, where anglers struggled to scrape together a limit, with maybe one kicker. They applauded BASS for going to these rivers and new places where fishing was TOUGH.
They wanted to see something like MLF. No practice. No way points. Just show up to an unknown lake and see what you can put together on your own. And now they're bitching about MLF, too many small fish. Guess what? That type of fishery enables lots of catches and multiple changes to the leaderboard throughout the events.
But the bottom line is this. No one show will appeal to everyone so producers and networks try and find shows that will appeal to a broad, NATIONWIDE audience. That's what Zona and MLF do. Change the channel if you don't like two of the highest rated outdoor shows in the country.
