I had just got back to fishing and actually found some fish last Saturday when the rain started. Went ahead and launched and fished spite the rain. The wife would have been ok with going back to the house. But the kiddos would have had no part in it lol.
Anyhow the main reason for this post is to get your opinions on what the flood will do to the crappie. When the storm hit they was in 16.5 fow & was holding at 8'. Baseball had us grounded yesterday and today so did not get to try our luck. How do you guys think they will react to all the flooding. The lake crested late Thursday and was several ft above max.

It's hard to say without knowing what lake you're fishing and exactly how much higher the lake is.

The gauge shows that it's only about 1.5' high and falling fast. usually the falling water and draw down process will shut the fish down on a lake.

Where did you find the lake level info ?
Not catching much but the kiddos are having a good time so I guess it's worth the gamble. Only a few crappie and quite a few drum.
