What's your go to baits for skipping under docks?

I have limited experience fishing docks but I usually use a fitness jig or 4" tube.

Also how many times will you throw under a dock before moving on?

Do you use different baits or colors in dirty vs clear water?

Educate me please.

Floating docks Fluke on a jig head and senko weightless. Depends if the want it slow or moving. Miss a lot of fish on the fluke with jig head but usually smaller bass anyways. Bigger ones easier to stick.

Cast fitness jig a minimum 10 reps and four sets for best results. Keep your core engaged.

You can skip almost anything if rigged weightless on a spinning rod. I like flipping a light t rigged craw and letting it skim way back in there, but that technique takes some time to get down.

D&M Super Payday Jig

I love to skip one of these under docks. I like the design of the head. It allows the jig to skip easier. This jig is also built around an 8/0 hook! That is huge! When you set the hook on a bass, you know you're gonna get him. I also like the custom colors that they offer with this jig.

I usually make about 5 or 6 casts to a particular dock then move on. I usually stick to simple colors as well.

I'm all about fitness, fitness big ole burger in my mouth! I usually use a "finesse" jig YMMV or t rig or senko, they all produce, match color to conditions.

Danny
for Cedar Creek use a wacky rigged Senko, WM Magic w/ red flakes.
use a 5/0 weedless straight hook or a 3/0 weedless circle hook.
put a #8 or #10 clam weight at the hook on the line.
get that thing up under the dock as close to the bank as possible.
Jiggle and get ready to set the hook.

if that is not getting their attention, throw a 1/4oz Roadrunner, white head with a Mann's Black n Silver 3 inch minnow replacing the grub.

if I hadn't spent 2 weeks down at Falcon I would be out there with you.
C U at Tawakoni.

Alot of the docks at cedar creek have no room to skip under as the water is all the way up to the side deck boards. We could not skip under many of the docks we were specifically targeting because of current lake level. South end especially. Just my 2 cents
