Has anyone figured out a way to install the DI transducer on the new motorguide xi5? I sure wish motorguide would have thought this out a little more!thanks

The Hummingbird rep at the Fun-N-Sun in house boat shows was showing me pictures of one. The transducer was mounted the traditional way on the cable to the top of the lower unit where the shaft goes in then the cable was attached to the head with a spring so it would keep the cable tight and so if you over steered the motor the spring would stretch and not bust the cable. He claimed they could rotate the TM 4 times before the spring was at it's limits. The only draw back I could see would be the cable getting hung up in the brush if you are fishing in the junk. The cable sticks out away from the shaft about 3" or so where it goes past the bracket to the head. I have a SI unit on the way and when it gets here next week I am going to give this a try.
