After hitting Lake Lewisville in the big boat yesterday I thought I would hit some smaller waters I had been eyeballing in the Yak this morning.

The Crappie are hanging around the bridge pilings under the George Bush Tollway.

The deepest point in this body of water is 8' and 6' is the average throughout the entire bridge.

Oh, and plenty of ditch pickles....

I fished from sun up until noon.

Caught 14 like this. Nice and shady.

Looks like crappie heaven! And to be in the shade would be extra nice.

Wow, a concrete forest. Is that part of a lake or the Trinity? I'm not familiar with the area anymore.

On of my favorite outa the way Crappie spots! I found some in the shallow water directly behind the Pistol club one morning before the sun got high in the sky. There are lot`s of law downs and trees roots to fish west of all that concrete & There are some huge GAR in that hole also.It doesn't look like much but it has a lot to offer for yakers,Tubers & small troller crafts. It`s an ideal body of water for the solitary angler because there`s Never a lot of boat traffic there. thumb
