OK, not sure who believes this works, but went out with a guide on TWOK several years ago and he beat the bottom of the boat to call in the hybrids.....I do know we caught fish. Always trying to increase my catch so who knows how to make one? Thanks.

I've been using my hand on the side of the boat for 50 years I think it works better
than the stick on the bottom of the boat. But could be just the way I learned many
years ago. Many years a guy named Glade Reed used a rubber mallet on the bottom of his boat.

Very easy to make.

1.125 wooden dowel and a rubber crutch tip.

I didn't list a price on the website because I have been upgrading my thumper recently. There have been some large cost increases with those upgrades. If you call me, we can discuss the different options available and the cost.
FYI. Any one who lets me know they read about my thumper here on the TFF gets an automatic discount of $50. or more this month, and maybe in the months ahead too.
A boat pole or oar is much cheaper than my thumper, but my thumper, thumps on the plastic base in a plastic box( not the fiberglass deck), and you can't bait hooks, take fish off hooks and put into the livewell, or other things you need to do, and thump also. And your arms will only get tired from reeling in fish, not wielding a boat oar all day.

First time I had ever seen that done was SandJohnny. I thought he was goin senile from all the slab paint. Everytime it would get slow though he'd do it and we'd pick up a few more each time. I'm a believer.
