Today we found dozens of dead fish on CC, mostly in the area of the Dam drop off. Some had been in the water for a while, some were fresher, one was a 40-50 lb(maybe larger!) Blue Cat.
Any idea what caused this?

I also saw lot of dead fish on Saturday. Mostly bass, but a few other species. Also pulled six 2x6's out of the lake, the longest one was about 20 foot long. There were birds on almost all of the debris, so if you see a floating bird, it most likely has a piece of wood under it.

I fished Dam drop off Friday evening and I saw a couple of dead fish but not an unreasonable amount.

I saw a nice size large mouth bass floating near Pinnacle on Saturday. Thought it was strange to see such a fish with all the tournament boats out.

I checked with a TPWD biologist who said that typically single dead fish are the result of catch and release mortality.
