Sounds like the lake may get a break from 1000000000 boats this weekend ,due to LCRA closing boat ramps and over night camping at both Oak Thicket and Park Prairie. You can check for yourself at oak thicket park lcra.

Why are they closed? When will they reopen No clue,,,, I heard about it today on 610 am outdoor show, local guide called in and gave info. I checked for myself and sure enough what the web site says too. I know the Colorado river is at a very high level.

They got 14 inches of rain so I am guessing that has something to do with it...

It's closed due to high water. The boat slips are under water. The lake was hit with 13.3 inches in eight hours on Sunday. With additional rain through the week, there is no telling how much it received in all. The spillway has an opening of something like 15 to 20 feet wide, so it may take a while for the lake to get back to normal.

No inflow on the lake but I'm guessing they r not pumping due to high water on the river
