The last couple of days we were able to beat the weather for most of the day. With low ESE winds around 10-12mph, most of our shorelines and reefs looked good. Last weeks storms brought in a lot of water and our tides are 1-2 feet above normal, but we were able to take advantage of this, and fish over grass beds which under normal conditions are very shallow. Right now these grass beds are thigh deep and are holding solid trout. We have released a few trout over 5 pounds and have seen some in the 7-8 pound range. These trout and reds are being caught on top waters, Softdine Corkys, and soft plastics. With the water temperatures continuing to climb into the mid-70's, this bite will continue. The way this year is shaping up with the off and on rain, and good tide movement, I see it being one of the best in a long time. If you are interested in getting in on some of this awesome fishing, or wanting to learn new techniques give me a call. For more details about trips you can visit my website.
