I'm not really happy with the two 6'6" medium rods that I am currently using for medium divers (6 to 14 foot deep)

I use one of the rods designed for that depth range CB. I bought a Dobyn's CB RM 764 that works GREAT for that range of CB. Enough backbone, but enough tip, too. It is a Champion rod series. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I use a Duckett Micro Magic Pro 7'3 crankin rod for anything above 18-19 ft. Great feel and you can really launch them out there, but at the same time has the accuracy to throw up in some tight pockets.

Thanks for the input so far.

I think this statement really sums up what I'm looking for

"..Great feel and you can really launch them out there, but at the same time has the accuracy to throw up in some tight pockets."

I have been using a Kistler Argon 7'9" mh crankbait rod, which has been versitile for throwing crankbaits from 6xd down to 3xd, Bandit 200, and wiggle warts.

This rod is what you are looking for. It doesn't act like a 7'6" rod until you want to throw a long ways.

I use a Daiwa Tatula 7'1" medium heavy regular taper. The reel is a Zillion TWS 6.3:1 and spooled with 10lb InvisX.
