Supposedly it is private, I would ask the store public relations manager or store manager. Dean Brown goes by District Paddle here on the forum and he works closely with them and might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Its no big deal if its private. I was just curious. It would be convenient for fishing the I30 bridge. But its not hard to paddle over from the ramp across the highway.

The only time I actually asked they were nice but said no. That has been a very long time ago and someone new might be there.

I just launch at the park across the road as I usually don't have a firm game plan in mind which bridge I am going to fish.

I have done pretty well under the 190 bridge also. The mouth of Rowlette creek should also be pretty good for cats right now if you have any interest in them. I fish mainly crappie and really haven't found them anywhere like in normal years. I think Saturday late and early Sunday almost everything should be back on plan..... and then more fronts come through.

I was out at the mouth of RC last weekend and caught nothing but gar. As a matter of fact, between last year and this year, I've caught more gar there than anything else. I'm pretty much done with RC for cats.

Somehow I am getting the feeling this simply is not going to be my year. My last trip I was crappie fishing in perfect conditions in a great looking place and caught nothing but blues.

At least it's better than not fishing.

There is also a boat ramp here 32.872565, -96.522013 that is convenient to the bridge and it is public.

I wonder what is going to happen with the park and ramps with the new giant development breaking ground on that peninsula ? That is where the 8 acre lagoon is happening along with $1 billion in development.

There will still be a marina so I would assume there will be access to a ramp.
