The high water ramp at Katies Woods had been opened for some time, even with the lake 11+ ft high. It had reached under 3 ft high last week before this last round of rain. As of today, it was showing 5+ ft high again.

She is +7 ft as of this morning. Katie's parking lot is probably closed by now and under water again. No water is being let out of GV or Lewisville so they both will continue to rise. If this rain keeps up it may be late summer or early fall before GV is usable again. I have seen GV go over the spillway 3 times since I lived in this area. In the 13 years I lived in GV by the lake I never saw it flood or be closed. Now all of a sudden the last two years it's been pretty much useless.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

+8.03 over this morning and still rising. They are beginning to release a trickle. 80cfs at GV and 250cfs from Lewisville.
