I use a spinner bait that has a slight amount of glitter on the blades. They appear to be on with some kind of clear resin. After catching numerous fish on them the glitter will wear off. I need suggestions on what would be the best way to put glitter back on. The glitter is easy to get at the hobby store but after several attempts I can't find the right clear material to paint them on the blade.

Did you try Famowood glaze coat? I would imagine clear fingernail polish might work as well?

Haven't tried the fingernail polish yet. That's my next step. When you look at the original finish you can tell that something is either brushed on or dipped.

Right in the same area of hobby lobby where the paint is there is some acrylic epoxy clear coat. I paint my heads the color I want and then mix the glitter in with the clear coat epoxy and brush on with a small paint brush. It takes about 3-4 days to cure completely but once it does its tough as nails.
