I have a group that is interested in a 40+ hr deep sea trip out of Galveston this summer. I was curious if there is any recommendations from anyone on a charter to use? Thanks for your help. We would like to fish for everything.

How big is your group? Do you want to split a boat with others or just have the boat for your group? The New Buccaneer out of Galveston Party Boats is a good boat that can handle about 24 or so people. The Bluefin out of Freeport is another good option for around 10-12 people. Tell us more about your group and we can give you more input. The Captain John is a good sized boat also out of Galveston (Williams Party Boats) but might not be as good as The Buccaneer. It can hold about 24 or so people as well.

The New Buccaneer holds a lot more than 24 people. Their 30 hr trips take 49 max. BTW, nobody in Galveston regularly runs a 40+ hour trip, 30 and 36 are the norm. If you charter the whole boat you can run what you want but it gets expensive.
