Head a little east or north, the lakes are almost all open...
Monticello, Sandlin, Cypress Ray Hubbard Ray Roberts Texoma Lavon
Athens Fork (open for frustration)
What's Closed over there besides Benbrook/Whitney?
Pat Cleburne Squaw Creek
I haven't heard much about Aquilla lately...

State Parks at Roberts and Texoma are all really nice places to camp! Roberts will be a little soggy and a lot muddy after the rain this week.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

I'm also in DFW and looking for somewhere to fish this weekend. Is Granbury open? I'm thinking of trying Granbury or Squaw Creek but I've never been to either one. Maybe Possum Kingdom. Any recommendations on a new lake to try? I worry about high water in an unfamiliar lake that may have submerged timber or structure.

Water coming down river with all the floating debris. Water will be muddy too. Fish still have to eat but Granbury is a dog running after stuff like this especially if youve never been on it

Anyone have up to date info on Lewisville or Grapevine water? I'm desperate to get out in the boat this weekend and fish.

I'm seriously considering heading north to OK but they've had as much or more rain than we've had. Not sure it will do any good.

I fished from 645 to about 5 on lewisville wed. The fishing is pretty good. I caught probably 12-15 lmb. Biggest was around 5 lbs and caught super shallow. I also caught them in the 8-12 ft range as well. Hybrids/sand bass are schooling all over the lake. I couldn't help but to stop and throw a square bill in there as i passed a school on my way to my next spot. I caught several small hybrids with one nice suprise. I caught one in the 7 lb range. The water clearity isn't as bad as you would think it would be after all that rain. Water temps ranging from 68 to 72

Roberts would be my first choice, unlikely to get a camp site this late though. Sandlin would probably be my second choice

Any other feedback on lakes that the weather didn't turn upside down?
