I know everyone has their own opinions but I'm just trying to get ideas. I'm wanting a rod and reel for a hollow body frog/ top water any suggestions?

Megabass Orochi XX I like the F5-72XX for frogs. These rods are very light and incredibly sensitive. This model has the perfect amount of tip to work a frog correctly. This is the best frog rod on the market if you ask me. Shimano Chronarch CI4+ I use the 7.2:1 gear ratio as it helps me reel in slack fast on a hookset. I think these are one of Shimano's best creations. The retrieve on these reels is buttery smooth, and they cast a LONG way. Definitely worth the price.

+1 on the Dobyns 735 -I have 2 of the Savvy series paired with Lews Tournament Pros (7.1:1) and they have been great frog rods. Strong and durable.

I currently use a Kistler Helium 7'6" heavy rod with a Daiwa Tatula reel (i have tried both 7.3 and 8.1 :1 speed reels on my set up and like the faster speed reel best) and a Cush-It rod butt cover. I saw a few pros using the cush-it cover on some fishing shows and had to try it. They are well worth it, as I am able to put the rod against my body for a better hook set and more leverage for fighting fish.

+1 more on Dobyns Savvy 735. Stupid good open water frog rod. I've pulled a bunch from the slop too. Eyes hold up pretty well for the amount of stress that braid puts on em. Huge fan. I use the highest speed reel I have which is a 7.9:1 Revo, but could use more speed.

I recently got the Lews SuperDuty and have it on a 7'4 Duckett Terex Heavy and it's done awesome. Casts 50lb braid with no issues at all and rod has plenty of action to work the frog. Would definitely recommend both.

Something with a good bit of tip that goes straight into some serious backbone, IMO one of the best blank around for froggin is the MHX SJ843
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.

Not sure what kind they are but this set up seem to work pretty good! I personally use a TFO heavy action rod with a Lew's super duty reel, but this has yet to happen to me!
