Anyone know of a place to stay for Saturday night that does not require a two night reservation for the weekends? Or would a tent and Anchor Inn be the best bet?

Anchor inn also has 12'x12' screened shelters for 12 a night + 7 a person if you wanna skip a tent. Me and my girl have one of them for this saturday. And I think cabins for 60 a night.

Do you have any pics of these screened in shelters of which you speak? How does it work that you skip a tent?

This is all I could find. Its a still from a youtube video. They are basically a solid floor, a roof and 4 walls. The bottom half of the walls are solid and the top half are wire screen mesh. Very basic. Very cheap.

They have water, which I'm guessing is a spigot outside and electricity.

My wife and I enjoy the screen in shelters at Anchor Inn. Nothing fancy, just 4 walls screened about half way from top and a good roof over your head. Walking distance to the water and good road getting to them. Their bot ramp is pretty good as well.

I would sleep in my truck before I spent the night in ANY motel around Lake Tawakoni and have done just that. Don't leave anything valuable like electronics, rods, etc. in your boat without being locked either. Speaking from experience.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

Wire mesh may have not been the best choice of words on my part. It's probably more like the screen on the outside of your windows at home.

So there is a bed inside a hut made of wood and screen basically? Or no bed and you bring sleeping bags or an air mattress?

There are no bed, inside just bare concrete floor.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.
