After repairing a leaking lake the HOA arranged for a stocking of 400 largemouth bass roughly 5 inches in size. That was in June of 2015.

Take a look below at what I have caught over the past 10 days. The largest was 18+ inches and weighed roughly 5 lbs. She was very pregnant and ready to pop. I reeled her in with light tackle - Shimano Chronarch 150 CI4 and St. Croix Legend ML rod. I literally couldn't reel in anymore without pulling my rod up with both hands. She was very aggressive. I'm thinking someone must have put her in the lake???

Looks like she needs some company if she is doing that good.

I'm just glad that she'll be having her babies soon and adding more bass to the tiny lake.

And to think it's a private neighborhood lake/tank 1/2 a mile from my house. I'm in heaven.

I fish there all the time, that 5lber definitely had to be put in there by someone. I wonder if tossing some larger ones in there from the lake would be a good idea?

Yes I've caught about 10 bass since the stocking. All but one has been in the 1.5 to 2 lb range-13-15 inches or so. The lake only has largemouth bass and blue gill at this time. No catfish.

Timberwood Park is just north of San Antonio and South of Bulverde. The neighborhood is great and so is this private gated lake. Only issue I see is the lake seems to be leaking.

If you live in Timberwood Park message me so we can go out together and I'll share the knowledge I have on the lake.
