I'm looking to upgrade to a tandem axle trailer and would like some feedback. I'm leaning toward the RangerTrail but I seem to remember something about problems with the RangerTrail hubs losing all of the oil and failing when they sprung a leak, but this may have been an early problem that has since been fixed. I've never really heard any negative feedback about the BassCat trailers, but I'm not a big fan of their low-slung mounting of the spare.

How soon are you looking to replace it, I have a 2014 Triton Trailer that will be for sale in a few months.

Probably around November....I'll be working out of the country until then....out of curiosity, why is your trailer becoming available? Are you getting a new one? Just wondering

And what about some of the other trailers out there? Magnum? McClain? Etc?

The Jack setup on the ranger is the dumbest thing ever. I hate it.

I've pulled a ranger trailer across country and now a BASSCAT trailer. Honestly the cat is my favorite to tow. Make sure you order the step pole and Fulton xlt jack. The led back up lights are redicously bright. However, I do not know how you would go about getting a trailer for a different brand boat since the bunks are specially designed for a basscat a hull.

What brand boat do you have?, I've looked into this before, might be a PITA to modify depending.

My boat is an old Ranger R91 (20') w/ 200 Merc.....sounds like I may have 2014 tandem axle Triton Trailer available....anybody have any stones to throw at a Triton Trailer?....I've been told that the bunks on almost all of the high performance bass boat trailers are nearly identical...I'll check whatever trailer I end up with and modify slightly if necessary

I've had several triton trailers and never an issue, I had the same 2014 trailer Kamper is talking about and pulled it 80 everywhere. It has the shock package on it as well as my new rig and is by far the best pulling trailer I've had.

Not correct at all, trailers are custom fit to the model of the hull, not all bunks are the same either seen alot of ranger trailers with larger 2X6 bunks.

Triton trailers aren't going to be as good quality as a ranger trail or basscat trailer which are channel iron framed not tube, tube trailers will rust from the inside out, do a search on skeeter tube trailers for problem examples.

If I had to replace my trailer, I would go with an aluminum trailer. There are several good builders in Texas and they should outlast the boat.

You may want to look at a Phoenix Trailers they have both tube and channel. You can order them with shocks different fenders. I would suggest getting someone to set it up with bunks in right place. I would look into the new materials they have out now where you do not have carpet. This eliminates hull blisters from wet carpet.

I've had a new triton every year since 2011 and none of the trailers have been tube framed, all of them have been C-channel and have gator Hyde sprayed on them.

Really ?? I have had 6 Tritons dating back to 1998, all were channel not tube, this one has the soft ride and is rhino lined with stainless fenders, never had a problem with any of them, you may need to do a little research before you put down someone else's equipment.
