I've only been addicted to these fish for the last few months, but I find humps to typically be the most productive. Are humps a good place to start year round for whites and hybrids or have I just been lucky?

BPort has been bad to me since last years rain. I had a few good days, but most were not good. I was just thinking of giving it a shot again this weekend then the rain came. I can't decide if I want to chance PK or bite the bullet and make the drive to Cedar Creek or Twok. This will be my last days to fish until June due to other obligations. bang

I agree TCK, BP has treated me the same. Some good, most bad.
I was thinking about going to Twok, maybe taking the guys who posted they were looking for a guide there.
Bp is on my wait and see list.
Pk has been pretty good lately, not sure with all the runoff how it will be this weekend.
Whitney has been good, but flooded now.
Maybe I'll just build thumpers. noidea

I just talked to a friend of mine whose father in law has a house near the area I have been fishing at PK. He said it is pretty muddy, so I may pass on that one. Its either off to Twok, (I don't like weekends there)or perhaps its a good weekend for the slimy whisker fish near home. hmmm

Just read where the guy found someone to take him to Twok, so I doubt I go there. Long haul for me for 1 day. May spend some wifey time since I'll be fishing 3 days next week at Buchanan. Although she knows it is "the spawn" till June, so she is patient normally. fish

PK has been really hot between Rock Creek and Costello Island. Had several good days there over the last month. Going to go try it again in the next couple of days.

Fish should be shallow now. Either going up the creeks to spawn or coming back, post spawn. I would be looking at coves with good creeks in them for fish in 5ft of water or less. Open water, any points adjacent to deeper water and follow the points up to shallower water.

I would not worry about the humps on BP until June or so. Have been catching good fish WAY UP feeder creeks....or at least we were up to this rain.

Did real well last year after things settled down. Several fish over ten pounds and two over eleven. Uncounted numbers of Hybrids six pounds or better.

BP is still pretty cold. Mid sixties at best. As soon as it gets a little warm, the rain cools it back down. Plus it is 4500 acres bigger. Lot more to warm up. The bubbles may not be on until early May.

It is closed now, probably through next week. Hwy 380 bridge was just closed this am. The lake is over it.

That's what I heard yesterday, Keith. Lots of water. I know the fish are still there in the lake. They just have more playground. lol More travel time on the boat than before. I can't boat 1/4 mile or 100 yds. and catch as many fish as before. Soon though.

Thanks for the info Keith. Last summer was a fun time on B'port. I was on the water 3-4 days a weeks either fishing or on the ski boat with the fam. I know we need rain but I sure was looking forward to the lake clearing up to that emerald color this year.
