This was a recent reaction to a Fun-n-Sun post about new boats in stock at http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbt...!!#Post11549871

There's a pretty simple answer for this. Fun-n-Sun is a TFF advertiser. Our advertisers are given a little more freedom to post than other businesses. A post from an advertiser that we would usually move to plugs & announcements is generally allowed to stand in the main bass fishing forum for a few days.

If you have questions about TFF policy, just PM a moderator. There's usually a reason for what happens and it's probably not politics or some conspiracy behind the scenes. Being a moderator is a thankless job. Our moderators work hard to keep this site running. Let's cut them a break.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Well put JP, but the mods let way to much slip by in the bass fishing section that should be in a different section.

I don't pay advertising money to lurk around here so I don't say much about this topic. Legit question though.

I sent J.P. a message. I'm needing to speak with someone about advertising. I would like a packet regarding the different packages. Please p.m. me for my email address. Thank You - Andrew

I think JP owns the site and can have them leave anything they want in the bass section. This isn't a democracy, its a privately owned board. To scold him and tell him other wise is just plain ignorant. Even though he might not be willing to say...

I'm not gonna lie...I clicked on the link and fun n sun does have a ton of great looking boats in stock as well a great tackle selection. The guys with a problem of how this private site is managed might need a time out for a bad attitude. Actually...I am sure of that.

feel free to use the mod alert and let us know if there is something we "missed". Everyone of us has a job and there is no way we can look at every thread and every post. We rely on our members to help monitor the forum long with us. That is what makes this site work.

Very true!

A lot of people seem to think they have some kind of "inner-web rights" LOL

I simply questioned the guidelines which were used to move some posts to other categories. Since there seems to be no written or advertised rates and rules for advertising, the common member doesn't even know they exist.

It's really sad that nowadays the guy that sticks out of a crowd is simply the one that asks for honesty and integrity. Unfortunately, in most crowds he is frowned upon for it. That's just the world we are living in nowadays.

And honestly when Snickers said "politics" he was dead on. Politics is all about who pays who to do what. How can you argue that's not what is going on here?

If I don't like the way the board is being run, I'll just stop paying my monthly subscription. banana
