Any feed back from owners of the RT 188 on the TFF

I've had mine for a year; overall, it's a great boat at a great price point. lots of storage and stable. I've been out on Fork in some decent sized waves and the boat knifes through them (but a crossways wind will get you wet from the spray).

I've only got a couple of complaints - my transducers have been knocked loose several times due to mounting them into the aluminum. I've hopefully fixed that with the spring loaded brackets that I just mounted. the other complaint involves loading the boat on the trailer. you have to be on the money or the chines (???) on the bottom of the boat will end up on the wrong side of the bunks and the boat will be crooked on the trailer.

I also use it for pond fishing (besides Fork). it tows easily and I can launch it from the bank at a pond.

I've had mine for a couple of months. Like Tin man said, you will get some spray on you in rougher water. I bought the camo without carpet, so when I get done fishing, I don't have to clean anything! Its stable for an aluminum boat. The wind will blow you around a little, but its not as bad as I thought it would be! The boat tends to ride like a flat bottom. The boat fishes great. Overall, I love mine! If your ever around the Tyler area, give me a holler and we'll take it out! Also, I have the 115 Mercury 4 stroke that is super quiet and the fuel mileage is great!

I've had mine for two months now. It has a 115hp Merc and does about 46 mph. I have the Minn Kota 80lb Fortrex and it's a pleasure having plenty of power. For color, you might consider white or silver (mine is silver) so that scratches are less noticeable.

Tin Man, try not backing in as far when loading it on the trailer. I have only had a few tries at this, but it seems to help.

Is that model the dead on twin to the Triton aluminum ? Or is something missing on the one or the other??

Pretty much...They're both made at the same plant... BBC Boards in the tin boat section have a ton of info on these!

I've had mine since February and have only had it out about 5-6 times so far. It's everything I expected and wanted; it fishes great and tows easily behind my Tacoma. Plenty of storage space (more than I probably should be filling up anyway). I plan on this being my last boat and I think it's built well enough to last a long time.

I toured the Ranger plant in Flippin last month. The Tritons and Rangers are side by side on the line but the Rangers get the upgraded doors and fixtures and more foam in the hull. Either boat will fish just fine but I think the Ranger is just a little more polished. Whether that's worth some extra $$$ is a personal choice.
