The rains did not mess up fishing. I went out from 3 to 7:30PM yesterday and caught 94 including some big white bass a bunch of short hybrids and a couple of legal hybrids. Half were caught at Dam Drop-off, where several regulars were fishing including Fastguy George. Most of the whites there were 10 to 11 inches. The rest were caught on one of the shallow humps on the Crappie Flats. That's where the big whites were, and it was a fish every cast til I got tired and went in.

Today friend Paul H invited me out to help him get waypoints for my fishing spots into the graph on his new boat. We went out about 10:30AM found fish to be totally un-cooperative. We could see fish but they must have gotten a memo not to bite (perhaps the bright moonlight had them full from night feeding). Heck, we even tried slabs to no avail. We had hit 5 spots each showing fish and had only caught about half a dozen fish. Finally, we found a spot where they bit - Dam Drop-off. We sat there and caught fish steadily until about 4:30PM. I estimate we caught about 30 whites in the 13 to 16 inch range. The rest were the 10 to 12 inch size. We caught 4 good sized blue cats and some short hybrids as well. We caught the fish in 13 to 15 fow on #4 silver Mepps.

Thanks Dennis! I talked to my dad last week about coming down last Sat. He had an appointment with his tax guy and couldn't go. So I went to PK and watched a buddy catch all the fish while I only had one hookup. It took me around my boat (25 lb. flouro.)and pulled the hook after about 3 or 4 minutes. I will call you when I am gonna make it down.

Awesome fish! Did you measure or weight it? Oh, just saw it on your other post - looks like 25 inches and full of eggs. Congratulations!

Mr. Christian, I read a lot of your posts on Cedar Creek lake. I take note of the spots you post you catch fish. Dam Drop Off and Crappie Flats, etc. I am in between Cedar Creek and RC and would love to fish CC more. Is there a map available anywhere that points these spots out?
