Will be staying at Lake LBJ a few days this summer and looking to book a crappie guide. This fishing trip is mainly for my 60+ year old mother who is an avid bank angler. She has never been on a guided outing, I think she would enjoy it a lot.

Im looking at booking with Lake LBJ Guide Services. Spoke to them on the phone, seemed like good people. However, anyone have any experience with them?

I ask that if anyone has overly negative feedback please provide via PM. I appreciate any feedback you guys can provide. Thanks!

The bite on LBJ is really good in the summer. It's a lot easier and enjoyable if you can plan the fishing during the week and not on the weekend due to all the recreational boating putting up major boat wakes.
If you do have to fish weekends, start as early as possible so you can get in a few good hours without all the boats running right next to you.

Myself or Jess can put you on fish. We both have extensive knowledge of the lake.
I can handle 3 guests on my boat, Jess can do 4.
If you need to book both of us for a large group, we can accommodate you.

Give us a call!

I'm always in a good mood when I'm fishing.

I do not have any experience or negative feedback for LBJ guide services other than their rates seem a bit high. I would recommend Kevin Kubiak http://www.hotcrappie.com/ or Jess Rotherham http://www.texascrappiefishingservice.com/ over anyone else. They are both TFF members, have better rates, post informative tips and reports, and know LBJ. Plus they will be patient with your mother and put her on fish. And if you want to take the whole family they will work out a group trip with you!

Thanks for the kind words guys! The crappie fishing on LBJ has been really good lately and will only get better as the year goes on.
