Are there any locals on here that can tell me the status of Bryan Beach due to all the heavy rain? Making a run down there later this week to fish/camp and was wondering if it is even worth it. Is the water up to the dunes? Can you you even drive/camp on the beach? Can you get back to the mouth of the Brazos, which is where we usually fish/camp. Any help would be appreciated.

According to the USGS Stream Flow data, the Brazos is in flood and flowing about 20 times its normal rate, and it looks like that will continue for a few more days. Here in CC on Padre Island/Mustang Island, the water is up to the dunes and is expected to remain through tomorrow. I would expect similar conditions or worse in the Freeport area. Sorry for the bad news.
