Thought I would share my recent disaster and learning experience. I ordered some blank squarebills and painted my first one. I was ok with the way it turned out and was excited to get a finish on it. I went to every hardware store in town and could not find the Dexcon 30 minute epoxy. I was able to find the 5 minute epoxy though. I thought 5 minutes is plenty of time. Man, was I wrong. One side of the bait looks nice, but the epoxy started setting up shortly after moving on to the second side and it looks bad. 5 minutes isn't enough. So, this is my first, and please any and all criticism is appreciated.

Nice colors, overall its a good effort thumb. The dark coloring around the eyes is a nice touch. I get my D2T slow cure from Elliot's Hardware here in Dallas. As a backup I keep BSI slow cure on hand...it's available thru Hobby Lobby. Not sure but both are probably available thru their online stores.

I've used Great Planes epoxy from Amazon with no problems.
