I see the proof of it but man...a 44' wave just doesn't compute with my brain. River tsunami! Terrible tragedy, I pray they recover all the victims to give the families closure.

I was piddling around on Instagram earlier, and clicked on #wimberley it's devastating, makes you sad just looking at it. Cars up in trees or pushed up onto a house, even the huge cypress trees pushed over with people standing next to them, and the root ball is 20' tall.

Thinkin of this Old thread showing the devistation in Wimberbly caused by the flooded blanco river. We were on the Brazos below PK this past Saturday at Mr Smith's. We put out 6 jugs and went to bed. When we woke the river was flooded. All 6 jugs were gone n the road out was covered by mud slides and downed trees n boulders ! We made It out with the assistance of the county. They came out n cleared the rd. This AM we r watching the news n see people evacuating and being rescued in Parker County.

The Houston area really got it. Some places got over 16"! Travis County/Austin also got it's fare share of rain, with some major damage. Here in my home area of San Antonio we got 2.75" officially. I got right at 3" in my backyard gauge.
