I bought a Minn kota I-pilot last year and I love it. Wife and I went (I know I'm not supposed to say it) Bass fishing last weekend. Using that trolling motor in the wind was a beating. Thinking of buying a trolling motor mount to put on my old Motorguide hand control for the times when I need it. If I buy the one that works for Minn Kota and is predrilled, Can I just drill new holes where my Motorguide will need them?

Wanting to buy 2 top plates. One will have my new I-pilot and the other will have my old Motor Guide Hand control TM. I know the Top Plate will be predrilled for the Minn Kota. Can I just drill holes where needed for the Motorguide.
Fmclee, do you have two different brands of Trolling motor?

Why would you not be able to drill? If the mount can be drilled, drill it.
