Do you guys think by spraying rhino lining on bottom of kayak would hinder kayak?

It wont hinder at all. Problem is gettin it to stick to the yak :-/

Methinks that the added weigh and drag would be an issue. That rough surface would also catch all kinds of crappola.

I wouldn't spray it, Because of what has been mentioned above
But if your looking for traction get some non slip stair strips and put them in the bottom.
they will stick and you can remove easily if they get to dirty.

I'm about to get into the kayak rental business. So thinking of ideas to prolong the life of the kayaks.

Proper training of customers and proper storage will be your main safe guard. I don't think rhino lining kayaks will help your bottom line much.

There's a reason most kayak rental places (that specifically deal in rentals and not sales too) use the cheaper model kayaks; lower initial costs & less maintenance.

If you're trying to protect the hull, I would consider something more like a keel guard. Put a strip in the front and back. Maybe locate an alternative to the name brand to save some money.

if you go with thermoformed abs kayaks they should last a long time they are rated for rapids. If you are going into rental business I would think you would have some type of contract or deposit for damage to the rentals by the customers. also for tax purposes you will be rotating the kayaks yearly or every other year cause of the depreciation write off

I was thinking pescador not too cheap but not high dollar. Im mainly trying to protect the area that comes into contact with the rocks when pulling up to the bank. I know it's hard to keep from bumping into them. Sometimes I pull mine out of the lake and think how did I get that scratch.
