Anyone have any info for Bob Sandlin. Have a TEXO Construction event there on Saturday that I have been asked to fish with a client and have never seen the lake. Can you run it with no problems?

I would say get a good map and study the lake. It's been a number of years since I fished it myself. I will be fishing the Texo Tourny myself with a co-worker and another team of co-workers. So best of luck to you, I also was sent this link to a map for the main boat run. Just be careful as there are some stumps around.

use this to convert lat. and long. to gps point to enter into your chartplotter.

Lots of small fish being caught. Deeper half of lake fishing better and clearer. Im doing best with sinkos and flukes shallow. Most other's are throwing spinner, chatter baits. Use that chart to run

Also can't go wrong punching holes in the gator grass w/ watermelon or gr. pumpkin creature baits. Peg your weight for best results.

We fished there last month after heavy rains and the south/west end of the lake was very muddy. After all this rain i would stay on the upper end.

I'll be there in a couple of weeks so any info (after your tournament) would be greatly appreciated. I'd generally just like to know about the grass situation, water clarity, shallow or deep bite, etc. Thanks!

Good luck with that. The alligator weed is already 6-10 inches out of the water in a lot of places.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
