I bought a Minn kota I-pilot last year and I love it. Wife and I went (I know I'm not supposed to say it) Bass fishing last weekend. Using that trolling motor in the wind was a beating. Thinking of buying a trolling motor mount to put on my old Motorguide hand control for the times when I need it. If I buy the one that works for Minn Kota and is predrilled, Can I just drill new holes where my Motorguide will need them?

Wanting to buy 2 top plates. One will have my new I-pilot and the other will have my old Motor Guide Hand control TM. I know the Top Plate will be predrilled for the Minn Kota. Can I just drill holes where needed for the Motorguide. Fmclee, do you have two different brands of Trolling motor?
