I went to get a Ray Hubbard Report to help support Clark's Tackle Box anglers on Ray Hubbard. Brian does so much to support us. Got on the lake about 2 hours before dark and found crappie quickly in 12 to 16' of water. I jumped around checking various locations finding brush was the best bite.

I've needed some fun fishing really bad lately and I certainly found that today. As I went under a bridge I noticed a huge school of sandbass. As usual I continued on my way not thinking twice. I went to my destination and caught a couple more crappie. At this point I really wanted to head far up into the shallows but only had 45 min till dark. There just wasn't enough time, so I headed back.

As I back tracked I noticed the sandbass had not moved and my graph was lit up like a Christmas tree. I had spotted a youngster with his dad tied off and it didn't seem like they were having any luck so I dropped the trolling motor and asked if they were interested in catching sandbass. They said heck yeah so they trolled over to the area following me.

Now the fun part as you'll see in the short video. This little boy landed many doubles. Magnum sandies as well. I farted around and caught 18 huge sandies myself using neon 3" Slim stick with a BoneHead BX Bladed jig head.

That was a blast watching them wear the fish out and meeting new friends on the water. That's what it's all about. I needed that as much as they did.

Looks like as soon as the Lavon bite got good the weather will shut it down again with flooding. They'll have the gates open again for an extended period of time. Get use to seeing my ugly mug on Fork brother.

Nice catch. I'm off Friday and gotta wait to see what lakes might still be ok with flooding. I'm also thinking I will hit Fork on Friday.

I enjoy sharing almost as much as catching. These guys already found me on Facebook to follow reports.

Took my north dallas patrol buddy friday. He gets on the radio and clears the roads for me when I'm running crappie contraband to lakes near you. roflmao police thumb
