What do you look for when catfishing ? I don't have a fish finder basically all I've been doing is drift fishing. I've heard they are shallow right now I went to the island on west side of the dam and drifted there and not a bite. What are signs that catfish would be here that I can tell aside a fish finder. And do you just throw a line and bobber or drift or just go to the store and buy fillets? Any help is apreciated

Go shallow up in the coves and find some weeds and brush 2 to 6 fow.
For eaters I use my home made dough bait and chum. Cattle cubes and soured grain. Chum out several spots and start fishing. I use a mitchell 300 spinner on a Berkley shock series rod and 35 lb braid with slip cork setup. Blues will be farther back up in the creeks, Channels too but also just off the main lake on the flats in the trees.
If you use big shad or perch be sure to have a good rod and reel to hold them biguns.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
