What's the skinny on the 2004 Evinrude 225 FICHT motor? I'm catching bits and pieces on them,...some say if it's a good motor IF the factory recall has been taken care of,...others say to look for 1/2" bolts on the engine, which indicate some shortcoming has been addressed by the factory, other say it's a fine motor, etc, etc. As I know nothing about that particular motor other than it's an Evinrude, I'd like to hear some honest, no BS, KNOWLEDGE that anyone has regarding whether that motor would turn purchasing a boat into a regrettable mistake. Thanks in advance for any info.

That's also what I've been reading. I actually want a Yammy 225, but the FICHT was attached to a VERY nice boat, but based on what I've gathered, the motor will be the deal breaker. Thank you.
