I asked this in the white bass section but thought I would post it here as well....I know how the die hard largemouth fisherman hate the sand bass.....

I'm headed to Fork this weekend and plan on doing a lot of fishing, bass and Sandys.
Anyone had any sandbass luck on fork recently?
Any pointers or general locations your willing to share?
I would really like to get my son on a good school or hump.

Thanks

Sandy's are mid lake to South end. The new law states if you catch one you have to take the next 2000 per person. Good luck and get to casting.

I love it....

My favorite is to largemouth fish but I do love getting into a school of sandbass every now and then, especially if I have the family with me. I wouldn't mind putting a few bags in the freezer as well. I will do my best to adhere to the new law. Thanks

Actually unlike last year they are spread out everywhere. But the big schools are where these guys says they are. None of those we are catching are little fellas either.

I can't believe people eat sand bass.

They are not as good as crappie, bar fish or largemouth fillets but if you wash the fillets well, they eat pretty good.
